From First-Timer to Champion: Sinethemba Soars

21 June 2025

When courage meets preparation, greatness is inevitable – and today, Sinethemba Monkwe, our unstoppable Grade 10 learner, proved that once again!

From humble beginnings and nervous rehearsals behind closed doors, to boldly stepping onto bigger stages, Sinethemba flew the WCCS flag even higher today by being crowned the Best Speaker 🏆 at the Nkangala District Inter-Regional Road Safety Debate Competition! on 21 June 2025.

She didn’t just win — she now leads a team of three outstanding learners from the Emalahleni region, representing the entire Nkangala District at the Provincial Road Safety Debating Competition this coming August!

Her journey is one of grit, growth, and glowing triumph. She reminds us all that beginnings may be uncertain, but dreams backed by determination are powerful beyond measure.

We are deeply grateful to:

• The Department of Community, Safety, and Liaison, the heart behind this powerful initiative
• The WCCS Directors, for your unshakable support
Sinethemba’s parents, thank you for believing in your daughter every step of the way
• Our dedicated teachers, who prepared her with love and passion
• And a special salute to Mr Kuseka – the driving force and coach behind this incredible team. Your commitment and belief in these young voices are shaping the future. We see your sacrifice, and we thank you.
• Sinethemba, you are not just representing WCCS – you are inspiring a generation. Thank you for carrying our hopes, dreams, and pride so gracefully. Your victory is our joy. Your story is our celebration.

Keep flying, girl – the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.

We are SO proud of you!
